About The Teacher- Ms. WardBorn and raised in Detroit, MI, I am the youngest of 5 children. Ever since I was a young girl, I knew that I would become an educator. I loved to school and whenever anyone asked what I wanted to be when I grew up, I always replied, “a teacher”. I enjoy helping others and I’m very passionate about educating children.
My experience in the classroom began as a Para- Professional in Highland Park, MI. I have also had classroom experience at Bennett Elementary School, University Preparatory Academy, and Paul Robeson Malcolm X Academy during my student teaching and methods courses. Working in various different environments has enabled me to develop a variety of skills. I am able to conduct activities safely, manage challenging behavior effectively, and communicate with people from diverse backgrounds. Further, I am very resourceful and enjoy exploring materials that make learning interesting as well as inclusive. My ability to work well with others is a very significant contribution that I am confident I can bring into the classroom and the professional education setting. Aside from teaching, I enjoy cooking, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. |
